This thesis project is an exploration of the concept of the event through the material form of a folding structure whose folding enacts a path down a non-linear, branching narrative. The folding presents itself as a metaphor for a non-discrete choice at a point leading to many possibilities of the branching narrative. This exploration of the event through folding is in reaction to a phrase used frequently in U.S. media "as the events unfold" existing as, but not solely as, linguistic play.
